SportsZone: Hockumentary

So back in November for my Job at SportsZone we shot this thing called the Hockumentary. At SportsZone we come out with a new half hour show every 2 weeks. Usually we have four short segments in the show of different RIT sports. But for this episode we decided to do something a little different by doing a more documentary cinema verite style approach. Over the course of two full shooting days we followed multiple people who make a Division I Hockey weekend all come together at RIT happen including the players, the coach, the rink crew, the equipment manager and even the Zamboni guy Stu. To check out other episodes go to our official web site.

For this episode and all the rest of the show I was in charge of all the camera people and crew shooting, getting them together and organized and such. It was a bitch organizing this one, because we were following so many people doing different things all over campus at the same time. But we got it all figured out and it came out pretty good. For this particular episode I shot all the coach footage and helped edit as well. We won a Platinum Telly Award for this episode a few weeks ago too.

My Experimental Film

Here is what I turned in for my spring 1qrt Experimental Workshop last year in May 2007.  It was fun to show at screenings.  The students got it, the teachers didn't.  Priceless.
