Movies Watched in the past month and other stuff too

So when i was mad sick I went though a huge David Cronenberg binge. It was pretty freaking sweet.

Shivers-
Cronenbergs first feature film also has the title of being the very first Canadian horror film. Originally titled "Orgy of the Blood Parasites" it follows tenants at a high rise apartment who are overrun by a parasitic slugs that turn them into sex crazed maniacs. Throughout the film it has really great and innovative special effects for such a small budget. They are delightfully queazy. Acting isn't too bad for all things considered as many of the actors were unprofessional. Overall a very good first feature.

Rabid-
Expanding on similar themes of sexuality from "Shivers", Cronenberg's second feature film follows a young woman who after a traumatic motorcycle class grows an extra blood sucking appendage in her armpit after an experimental skin graph surgery. Pornographic actress Marilyn Chambers does quite well as the lead actress as she escapes the hospital and begins to infect men across the Canadian Countryside and into Montreal.
