SportsZone: Hockumentary

So back in November for my Job at SportsZone we shot this thing called the Hockumentary. At SportsZone we come out with a new half hour show every 2 weeks. Usually we have four short segments in the show of different RIT sports. But for this episode we decided to do something a little different by doing a more documentary cinema verite style approach. Over the course of two full shooting days we followed multiple people who make a Division I Hockey weekend all come together at RIT happen including the players, the coach, the rink crew, the equipment manager and even the Zamboni guy Stu. For this episode and all the rest of the show I was in charge of all the camera people and crew shooting, getting them together and organized and such. It was a bitch organizing this one, because we were following so many people doing different things all over campus at the same time. But we got it all figured out and it came out pretty good. For this particular episode I shot all the coach footage and helped edit as well. We won a Platinum Telly Award for this episode a few weeks ago too.

My Experimental Film

Here is what I turned in for my spring 1qrt Experimental Workshop last year in May 2007.  It was fun to show at screenings.  The students got it, the teachers didn't.  Priceless.

Bad Idea

So I was at the Walmart looking for something that I didn't find.

Then I saw Chocolate Skittles. I like Chocolate. I like Skittles. So I bought them.





Bad Idea.

I could barely eat a handful of them without hurling.

I'd rather lick the inside of drainage pipe in Jersey than have to eat one more of those things.

The day immediately after I saw the college kid wearing the Linkin Park t-shirt I saw him again and....

b.) a dress

c.) a Linkin Park sweatshirt

Sadly to the good of the human race he was wearing a Linkin Park sweatshirt. 

me- "Dude, No way, Are you Fucking Serious?"

linkin park guy- "Boondock Saints is such an underrated film"

I really wish I was making this up, but nope, it happened.  

-except for him saying the thing about the boondock saints, but i could tell he was definitely thinking that
