Rainy rainy stormy stormy day.

So i watched 4 movies.

1. Julien Donkey-Boy: A film by Harmony Korine shot under the rules of Dogma 95. Filmmaker Werner Herzog played the role of the father in the dysfunctional family the film depicted. He was awesome in every scene he was in. It was also one of the most beautiful films shot on video I've seen. Def check it out.

2. G.I.Joe: You know what. I enjoyed this. The 12 year old inside me enjoyed it, and so did the 22 year old. It is what it is, a big dumb effects action movie. The action scenes were pretty cool and well staged, and the whole underwater battle was something i was pleasantly surprised with. It was cool to see Joseph Gordon Levitt play the role of Cobra Commander. But by far the best part of the film was Sienna Miller. Seriously, Damn. Check it out if you were ever a 12 year old boy at one time in your life, if you weren't, then don't.

3. A Perfect Getaway: I figured out the big twist 5 min into the movie. But it was still alright, and the structure and character development of how they dealt with this twist was interesting. The cinematography was nice, but it never hurts when you're shooting in remote beaches of Hawaii. Rent it.

4. Ken Park: Written by Harmony Korine and the perfect movie to watch with your grandparents.



Also performed stand-up tonight at Boulder Coffee. Wasn't originally scheduled to do it but when i walked in to watch the person who runs it said some people didn't show up and asked if i wanted to go up, so i was like sure why not. The crowd was pretty good tonight, and i felt really good the whole time up there. During the beginning of my set this girl started talking on her cell phone, in the front row no less, so i tried my shot out at heckling her for being Jar Jar Binks style rude.
