Friday=Awesome

Had a pretty radical day.

Went on a sweet 5 miler.

Road with 80+ other bikers around the city then too Pittsford for Critical Mass. It was really fun being in such a big group taking up the whole side of the road.

Was at the Pittsford plaza at 7:45 and sprinted back to Rochester to catch the 8pm show of House of Wax 3D with Vincent Price. It was pretty awesome. They used two projectors to show the image and the old process still holds up really well compared to the Digital 3D of today. There was an intermission in the middle of the film to change reels. These two things really had a nice nostalgia of watching 3D the old school the same way people used to 60 years ago.

Then went to Manhattan Square Park for the start of the an Alley Cat race. There were about 20 other racers. I was riding a bike i just bought that i just purchased from a friend a few days ago so i haven't had the time to tune it up or clean it yet. But it still road alright all things considering. For the race we went from checkpoint to checkpoint, but at every checkpoint you drew a card from a person there to a different checkpoint, but sometimes you drew a "go to jail" card and had to go to jail. So everyone was pretty much going all over to different places the whole time collecting "space bucks". Raced from 10:30pm to 12:30am straight all over the city from the Amtrak station, to Frontier Field, to Java's Alley, to The Village Gate, to Manhattan Square Park, to the Jail house, to Blue Cross Arena and other places around the city. By the end of it was was damn wicked tired. After the main race they did a skid competition, a balance one then a sprint comp. Got home around 2am then went to Denny's and had the best food i have ever eaten there cuz i was so hungry.
