Stripped down a bike i got the other day to turn it into a fixed gear while watching Planet Terror by Robert Rodriguez then Rob Zombies sophomore feature The Devils Rejects. I've seen Planet Terror multiple times before and it's still Sixty kinds of gut bursting awesome. Explosions, zombies, Guns, Babes, Babes with Guns, Babes with guns for legs. What more can you ask for?

It was the first time I've ever seen The Devils Rejects though and it definitely had the effect that Mr. Zombie was aiming for. Through the movie you start to root for the most terrible people on the planet. It's not hidden at all that the main characters are serial killing maniacs but throughout the film you start to root for them in hoping they won't get caught/killed by the cops. I had mixed feelings about Mr. Zombies first film House of a Thousand Corpses. I felt The Devils Rejects was much more focused and was a big progression in his directing talents. He definitely had a clear vision of what he wanted and was able to capture that beautifully and grittily in stunning 16mm film.

Then I went to the Dryden theatre and saw Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M For Murder in 3D. Two words....Grace Kelly....swooooon. Anyway, the 3D wasn't used to full potential, but it still looked pretty sweet even though the whole movie pretty much took place in one apartment. The story and characters were top notch of course like most of Hitchcock's films.
